Mission: 9th District Court Service Unit (CSU) serves eleven jurisdictions, which includes the two cities of Poquoson and Williamsburg, and nine counties of Charles City, Gloucester, King and Queen, King William, Mathews, Middlesex, New Kent, James City, and York. The services provided by 9th District CSU include juvenile intake, probation, parole, and pre-dispositional investigations and pre-court services for case management. The 9th District CSU is also the site of the Statewide Video Intake Unit. The District office is located in Williamsburg, VA. Community Services/Programs: AARP Tax-Aide* is a program that provides free tax counseling; basic tax preparation services for 1040EZ, 1040A, 1040 (plus a limited number of schedules) and Virginia 760 forms; and electronic filing for all taxpayers with middle and low income, with special attention to those age 60 and older. Services are available from February 1 to April 15 each year. AARP Tax-Aide is administered by the AARP Foundation in cooperation with the IRS.
