Big Bash Open Bass Tournament (BBOBT) General Information
Five open tournaments are held throughout the summer for fisherman to accumulate points towards a final closed BBOBT in October. The top 20 teams compete in the final closed tournament to determine Beaverdam Park's top fisherman of the season. The fee for each tournament is: $45 per boat for annual pass holders and $50 per boat for non-pass holders. Tournaments are held during the months of March, April, May, June and September. All tournaments are held at Beaverdam Park's Main Entrance.
Cash or Check are the only forms of payment collected in the Ranger Station at Beaverdam Park.
2019 dates are: March 16, April 20, May 18, June 15, September 21 and Big Bash Classic October 19. The 2019 Open
Tournament Payouts are:
1st - $500
2nd - $250
3rd - $150 with a Big Fish prize of up to $500
Payouts are prorated based on participation. $1,000 First Place payout for the Big Bash Classic is guaranteed. Tournaments are sponsored by Park Partners, Inc and Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism.
The Classic had beautiful weather and some beautiful fish. We want to thank everyone for a wonderful year. Congratulations again to Bubba West and Jerry Jenkins for making Angler of the Year and the Classic Winners with 18 pounds, 11 ounces. 2nd place went to James West and Matt Bradley with 17 pounds, 14 ounces. And a third place went to Chris Eckstein and Al Bowles with 17 pounds, 8 ounce. That Big Fish went to Steve Harger and Woody Cosby at 5 pounds, 9 ounces. See y'all next year.
