2009 Specifications:
Female (unmarried with no dependents)
16-19 years old (age as of Daffodil Festival)
Gloucester County Resident
Deadline to Register: Thursday, February 13, 2009
Schedule of Events:
Saturday, March 21, 2009 - Daffodil Festival Poster Unveiling featuring the winning artist and the New Poster. 9;00 pm to Midnight - Dance (optional)
Sunday, March 15, 2009 - 2:30 - Reception. The reception will include meeting the members of the Daffodil Festival Committee, learning about the festival, interviews with the judges, meeting the other contestants and best of all refreshments!
Saturday, March 28 & Sunday, March 29, 2009 - All Day – Daffodil Festival (Parade, Ceremonies, etc)
Other Responsibilities:
The queen will be expected to represent the festival by attending local events, monthly basis, during the year. The events will include the July 4th Parade in Yorktown, the Gloucester High School Homecoming Parade, the Gloucester Citizen’s Holiday Parade, the Guinea Jubilee parade, Celebrate Families and possibly other events.A completed entry form (forms will be posted on October 1, 2008), recent photo (which will be returned) & $15 entry fee are required. Must be received by February 13, 2009. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
