Soil Analysis
Soil
testing kits are available from your local Cooperative
Extension Office. Upon getting the kit, citizens should
prepare the sample according to directions and mail it
along with a $7.00 testing fee to the Soil Testing lab
located on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg,
Virginia. Response time is approximately two weeks.
You will receive a Soil Test Report with recommendations
based on your soil type and plant needs. This report is
also forwarded to your local Extension Office. If you
have any questions regarding the report call your local
Extension Agent.
Soil
testing kits may be picked up at the Gloucester County
Cooperative Extension Office
